So what have I been up to since January?
I’ve been knitting like crazy! I finished two shawls in the Westknits Shawl club, and am finishing up two other’s in the club. I also have two more shawls on the needles, a second Citron using Indigodragonfly’s MCN Lace and a Westknits’s Pogona using Plum Street Fiber Art’s Twizzle Sock for a knit-a-long. Some pics of my FOs:
Westknit’s Sharktooth knit in Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light, colorway is Magnolia leaf. I still need to block it (I’m so lazy, I may never get around to blocking it) to make it a little bigger. This could be my favorite yarn EVER!
The second shawl is called Arroway, which is ironic because I didn’t like the arrows in the original pattern and edited them out of my version. This could be one of my favorite shawls to date – it’s so versatile and I wear it all the time. This uses Malabrigo Sock in colorway Alcaucil (dark gray-green) with Claudia Hand Painted Fingering in colorway Lemon Ice.
I finished another crafty endeavor, a painting of Maiabelle to hang next to the painting of Benny!
Finally, I’ve begun to run again. I’m trying to average 10 miles per week right now. I’m currently doing interval training, using 3 minutes of running (7-8 min/mile pace) with 2 minutes of walking. On Friday, April 4, 2012, I ran over 5 miles, a new record for me. My goal is to be able to regularly run 5-8 miles with an overall pace under 10 min/mile.
